The office-prank series; An extra USB mouse ...
One of the nice things about an USB mouse is that it install without making too much fuzz for the user. Its no problem to have multiple mice attached at the same time, and they all are active! This means that it we can attach an extra mouse to my targets docking station, he would probably not detect it right away.
Since I sit diagonally opposite from my target, I had to involve a colleague about this one. She was eager to try this one out and arrived at 06:00 one morning to install the extra mouse. Even I wasn’t informed about it …
So, around 09:00 I noticed some outbursts like “hey, the f… is wrong with this mouse!”. I glanced over at my colleague, pointing discreetly at my mouse and she nodded…
She was performing this stund beautifully, moving the mouse in a calm, diagonal fashion, emulating exactly how laptops can have a wandering mouse sometimes. Not too often…

We suggested that he should replace the batteries of his mouse, and so he did. But since that didn’t help much, we suggested that he checked that he got the polarity of the batteries right, and he checked …
He tried to undock his laptop, and to his astonishment everything worked like a charm then. “It has to be the docking station” …. He suddenly rised up, pretty frustrated, and franticly removed all USB cords on his docking station, and reinserted them all, including our extra mouse cord …. ha ha!!!
At 14:00 my colleague had to leave, and thus reveal the extra mouse. He he, another superb prank
